Twenty-eight more people have died from the COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, raising the death toll from the pandemic to 6,416 in the country.
Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 449,760 as 2,419 new cases have been confirmed during the period.
A press release of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) made the disclosure on Monday (November 23) afternoon.
Health authorities reported another 2,183 people recovered from the disease in a day, rising the total number of recoveries to 364,611.
In the last 24 hours, 117 coronavirus testing laboratories across the country tested 16,059 samples.
The first coronavirus death was reported in the country on March 18, ten days after the detection of the first coronavirus cases.
