Eighty-three more people have died from the Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, raising the death toll from the pandemic to 9,822 in the country.
Another 7,201 coronavirus patients are found in 24 hours, raising the total number of infections to 6,91,957.
A press release of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) made the disclosure on Monday afternoon.
Health authorities reported another 4,523 people recovered from the disease in a day, rising the total number of recoveries to 5,81,113.
The infection rate jumped to 20.59 percent from 19.81 percent on Sunday’s. So far, 5,037,833 samples, including 34,968 in the last 24 hours, have been tested.
The coronavirus, that first reported in China late last year. The first Covid-19 positive cases were reported in the country on March 8 and the first death on March 18.
