Fateha-i-Yajdaham is an optional holiday. Employment and holiday laws in Bangladesh allow employees to choose a limited number of holidays from a list of optional holidays. The moon of the holy month of Rabiʽ al-Thani in the year 1442 AH has been sighted.
The holy month of Rabiʽ al-Thani will start counting from today, Tuesday. And the holy Fateha-e-Yazdaham will be celebrated on Friday, November 27.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the National Moon Sighting Committee at the Baitul Mukarram meeting room of the Islamic Foundation on Monday evening.
Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Altaf Hossain Chowdhury presided over the meeting.
Holy Fateha-e-Yazdaham is celebrated as the Oafat Day of the great Peer Hazrat Abdul Kader Jilani (ra), which is known to the Muslim world as `Fatehah-i-Yazdaham`.
